Exhibition at Dr. Hostaš Homeland Museum in Klatovy
Full-scale execution of a new standing exhibition situated on floor 1 of the museum. Designed by Architect Jan Albrecht, the presentation guides the visitor chronologically through the history of the town from prehistoric times to World War II. In general, the exhibition makes use of display cases, walls and tables which makes the visitor familiar with a wealth of collection items, artefacts and exhibits, whether they are placed on the surface of or within the exhibit equipment. There is also a two-storey model of the town and an interactive 3D presentation of the carnations – flowers that made Klatovy famous. The exhibit’s scope is also more than broad in terms of content as it covers subjects such as the natural world, archaeology, ethnography, architecture, culture, crafts, industry and major personalities. A collection of military memorabilia is included as well. In addition to the static part, the presentation is complete with audio-visual effects; the graphic design and lighting both play an important role in the concept of the display as well.
