Exhibition, Tramping is Still Alive (Even beyond the River Sázava Area), Regional Museum in Jílové u Prahy
A project of a brand new exhibition dedicated to the Czech phenomenon of tramping, which has no parallel in Europe. A turnkey project, it was completed on the basis of our own design; the architectural look was developed by Arch. Jakub Turek. The Museum in Jílové is a place linked to tramping by its geographical location and its activities are historically devoted to the subject. The content of this brand new exhibition is based on a plethora of artefacts/exhibits situated in glazed niches, in windows and as part of scenes that the visitor can enter, as well as documents and photos contained in graphic surfaces and databases of touch screens. The presentation splits into two main areas connected by a corridor neck. In the entrance room, the visitor becomes familiar with the natural settings of the River Sázava region, can sit on the veranda of a tramp hut, watch the landscape, listen to the singing of birds or find out how such huts were furnished. Nature is also the focus of the touch-screen encyclopaedia, which also offers a variety of games. The relocation to the second part is enhanced by birds and other members of fauna placed behind the glass of an unconventionally conceived display case. The architect chose a similar artistic concept to present the tramp equipment and furnishing, settings, customs and personalities in the second of the two rooms. Here you can watch a river flowing, a campfire blazing and listen to tramp songs sounding based on the choice of you, the visitor. The space is designed theatrically, scenographically, and in addition to a number of exhibits and information presented in words or images in print and audio-visual form, there is again a place to sit on a forest glade in the middle of the area, try out games and have fun.
